The Import Overview of Monoammonium Phosphate in Brazil - January to November this Year.

Brazil imported a total of 4.81 million tons of monoammonium phosphate from January to November 2023, marking a 25% year-on-year increase. The main supplying countries were Russia, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia, accounting for 45%, 30%, and 17% of the total, respectively.

Russia remains the largest supplier, with shipments of monoammonium phosphate reaching 2.17 million tons, a one-third increase compared to the previous year. Morocco's OCP exported 1.45 million tons of monoammonium phosphate to Brazil, representing a 54% year-on-year growth. The combined shipments from Saudi Arabian suppliers Ma'aden and Sabic amounted to 813,000 tons, an increase of 31,000 tons from the same period last year (totaling 782,000 tons).

However, exports from the United States and China of monoammonium phosphate to Brazil have declined, and their market share remains limited.

In the period from January to November this year, the United States supplied Brazil with 202,000 tons of monoammonium phosphate, a 32% decrease compared to the same period last year. China provided 159,000 tons, a reduction of 15,000 tons compared to the previous year (174,000 tons).

The total import volume of monoammonium phosphate in Brazil in November was 495,000 tons, higher than in September (473,000 tons) and October (461,000 tons), as well as exceeding the same period last year (189,000 tons). Of this, 206,000 tons came from Russia, and 196,000 tons came from Morocco.
