China's major fertilizer imports and exports in November

In November, China exported 3.4 million tons of fertilizers and imported 1.26 million tons.


The import volume of potassium chloride increased, while the export volumes of diammonium phosphate and monoammonium phosphate increased.

 

Import:

 

From January to November 2023, China imported a total of 11.68 million tons of various fertilizers, with a total value of $5.083 billion.

 

In November, China imported 1.26 million tons of various fertilizers, valued at $407 million. Compared to the same period last year, there was an 87.3% increase in quantity and a 3.7% increase in value.

 

Potassium Chloride:

Cumulative imports from January to November were 10.29 million tons, amounting to $4.234 billion.

 

In November, imports were 1.14 million tons (compared to 1.08 million tons in October), with a value of $354 million. There was a 78.7% increase in quantity compared to the same period last year, while the value decreased by 2.8%.

 

NPK Compound Fertilizer:

Cumulative imports from January to November were 1.11 million tons, valued at $692 million.

 

In November, imports were 80,000 tons (compared to 70,000 tons in October), with a value of $36.423 million. There was a 735.9% increase in quantity and a 212.9% increase in value compared to the same period last year.

 

Export:

 

From January to November 2023, China exported a total of 29.17 million tons of various fertilizers, with a total value of $9.141 billion.

 

In November, China exported 3.4 million tons of various fertilizers, valued at $1.06 billion. Compared to the same period last year, there was a 53.5% increase in quantity and a 13.6% increase in value.

 

Urea:

Cumulative exports from January to November were 3.91 million tons, amounting to $1.486 billion.

 

In November, exports were 520,000 tons (compared to 560,000 tons in October), with a value of $192 million. There was a 38.4% increase in quantity compared to the same period last year, while the value decreased by 2.5%.

 

Ammonium Sulphate:

Cumulative exports from January to November were 12.85 million tons, valued at $2.172 billion.

 

In November, exports were 1.53 million tons (compared to 1.48 million tons in October), with a value of $263 million. There was a 43.2% increase in quantity and a 5.9% increase in value compared to the same period last year.

 

Diammonium Phosphate:

Cumulative exports from January to November were 4.67 million tons, valued at $2.494 billion.

 

In November, exports were 620,000 tons (compared to 440,000 tons in October), with a value of $349 million. There was a 206.3% increase in quantity and a 125.8% increase in value compared to the same period last year.

 

Monoammonium Phosphate:

Cumulative exports from January to November were 1.91 million tons, valued at $1.063 billion.

 

In November, exports were 220,000 tons (compared to 160,000 tons in October), with a value of $105 million. There was an 11.0% increase in quantity compared to the same period last year, while the value decreased by 39.4%.
