China's Fertilizer Import and Export Major Species Breakdown, Jan-Feb 2025

Exports:
In February 2025, China exported a total of 2.43 million tons of various fertilizers, including:
- Urea: 14,00 tons
- Ammonium sulfate (AS): 1.36 million tons
- Diammonium phosphate (DAP): 42,000 tons
- Monoammonium phosphate (MAP): 12,000 tons
From January to February 2025, China’s total fertilizer exports amounted to 4.674 million tons, a 56.0% year-on-year increase. The total export value was $956 million, a 52.6% year-on-year increase.
The details are as follows:
- Urea: 4,000 tons, down 79.9% year-on-year.
- Ammonium sulfate (AS): 2.57 million tons, up 39.2% year-on-year.
- Diammonium phosphate (DAP): 66,000 tons, down 42.9% year-on-year.
- Monoammonium phosphate (MAP): 32,000 tons, down 67.4% year-on-year.
Imports:
In February 2025, China imported a total of 1.22 million tons of fertilizers, including:
- Potassium chloride (KCl): 1.12 million tons
- NPK compound fertilizer: 80,000 tons
From January to February 2025, China’s total fertilizer imports amounted to 2.504 million tons, a 12.4% year-on-year decrease. The total import value was $769 million, a 19.7% year-on-year decrease.
The details are as follows:
- Potassium chloride (KCl): 2.31 million tons, down 12.4% year-on-year.
- NPK compound fertilizer: 170,000 tons, down 13.2% year-on-year.
